L/S of soldiers walking through the streets carrying their flag and guns, others ride past saluting. Various shots as troops march past and cars drive through. M/S of a man and woman stood together watching. M/S profile of other military men. Troops walk through again and a band plays at the side. Various shots of gun carriages pulled by horses, soldiers wheel bicycles through. Various shots of soldiers in front of a big building, the camera pans across the people. Various shots of soldiers marching and equipment being carried along on carts. M/S as the French flag is lowered, officers ride through gates followed by gun carriages. Various shots as equipment, men and supplies pack up and leave. M/S of two soldiers holding a little dog, it is wearing a soldier's cloth cap, they wave its paws at the camera. M/S of another boy holding three puppies. M/S as soldiers wave from the train, one combs another's hair. L/S as the train pulls out of the station and everyone waves. M/S of soldiers holding flags, various shots as they march through the town and climb into trucks ready to depart, M/S of them moving off in convoy down the street. M/S of trains leaving again carrying men and equipment. People cheer and wave as a bus drives through the street. M/S of military band playing and others lined up outside the big building, which is possibly parliament. Note: part of this item appears to be cuts.
